What we do

Complete welding and installation services

We combine welding craftsmanship with process know-how. We handle both individual jobs and complete installations — with process cleanliness, product quality and the uptime of your line in mind.

Stainless steel welding

TIG (141) and orbital welding of stainless and acid-resistant steel pipes and tanks. Full-penetration welds — smooth inside and out, crevice-free. Carried out to qualified welding procedures (WPS/PQR) by welders certified to ISO 9606.

Fabrication and installation of process lines

Workshop prefabrication and installation of stainless steel piping and process systems. We build to designs supplied by the client — and plan installation around downtime windows to keep production stoppage to a minimum.

Evaporation lines

We build and install falling film evaporation lines for product concentration — from milk and whey to media in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. A low-temperature, gentle process that protects product properties and reduces energy consumption (MVR).

Spray dryers

Installation and modernisation of spray dryers for milk powder production — chambers, cyclones, fluid beds, pneumatic powder transport, air and CIP systems. Gentle drying for free-flowing, dust-free powder.

Service

Service and modernisation of existing installations

A plant runs for years — we make sure yours runs without surprises. We also support lines we did not install.

Repairs and interventions

Fast on-site interventions — replacing pipe sections, fixing leaks, welding in nozzles and branches. We work within downtime windows, including weekends.

Modernisations and rebuilds

Extending existing lines, re-routing piping, adapting installations to a new product or higher capacity — without stopping the whole plant.

Weld and installation inspections

Weld endoscopy, leak testing and installation condition assessment with written recommendations — before a minor defect becomes a mid-season breakdown.

Specialisations

Dairy technologies we know inside out

Milk powder and concentrate production requires absolutely clean, leak-tight installations. This is our domain.

  • Hygienic design — crevice-free welds, no dead legs and full CIP cleanability, in line with EHEDG / 3-A principles.
  • Orbital pipe welding — repeatable welds with parameter logging, inert gas root shielding and a smooth internal finish with low Ra roughness.
  • Piping shop drawings — 3D models, supports, isometrics and schematics that make site installation easier.
  • Pneumatic powder conveying — dilute (lean) phase and dense phase lines, pressure and vacuum — from the dryer, through silos, to packing.
  • AISI 304 / 316L, duplex and other alloy steels — grade selection matched to the medium, temperature and process requirements.
  • Pickling and passivation — restoring full corrosion resistance of surfaces after welding.
  • Documentation and certificates — WPS/PQR, welder qualifications (ISO 9606), weld maps, 3.1 material certificates, as-built documentation.
  • Weld quality control — leak testing plus endoscopic / NDT inspection with full traceability.

Technical capabilities

Orbital and TIG welding — the specifics

Over 22 years of hands-on experience in orbital and TIG welding of stainless steels and special alloys.

Orbital welding range

  • Closed weld head: 20.00–115.00 mm (0.787–4.528″)
  • Open head: 20.00–114.30 mm (0.787–4.500″)
  • Welding positioner: up to 12″
  • Wall thickness: 0.1 mm to 4 mm
  • Full penetration with high cleanliness — for food and pharma
  • Full repeatability once parameters are set
  • Mobile equipment — we weld at the client's site

Materials

  • Stainless and acid-resistant steel (AISI 304 / 316L)
  • Duplex and super duplex steels (e.g. 2205 / 2507) — resistant to pitting corrosion and chlorides
  • High-nickel alloys: Inconel, Hastelloy
  • Fecralloy, AL6XN and other special alloys
  • Manual TIG welding — from small pipes to large ducts
  • Inert gas root shielding — no oxidation inside the weld
  • Post-weld cleaning — a clean finish

Standards and accreditations

Welding in accordance with recognised welding procedure standards:

EN ISO 15614-1 ASME IX ISO 9606

WPS/PQR procedures, qualified welders, 3.1 material certificates and as-built documentation for every project.

How we work

From design to commissioning

A transparent process in which you always know what stage your installation is at.

  1. 1

    Consultation and quotation

Needs analysis, site visit, selection of materials and fabrication method. You receive a clear, itemised quotation.

  2. 2

    Workshop design and prefabrication

3D piping models, supports, isometrics and workshop drawings. Prefabrication under controlled conditions.

  3. 3

    Installation and welding

Orbital and TIG welding on site, under strict hygiene control. Weld register kept up to date as work progresses.

  4. 4

    Inspection and start-up

Leak tests, pickling, passivation, documentation — and the installation is production-ready from day one.

Why us

Why ORBIWELD

Three things we care about most — and that clients feel at every stage of the project.

Quality you can see in the weld

We work as if every weld would later be examined by an inspector — full penetration, a clean finish, no places for bacteria to settle.

On time, no excuses

We work within downtime windows and keep to the schedule. You know what stage your installation is at and when production will start.

A contractor you can rely on

One accountable partner from prefabrication to start-up. No passing responsibility between subcontractors.

Industries

Who we work for

Wherever process cleanliness and installation reliability matter — in Poland, the EU and worldwide.

Dairies and milk processing plants
Producers of milk and whey powders
Food industry
Pharmaceutical industry
Brewing industry
Chemical industry

Quality under control

Weld quality control

In hygienic installations a weld must be not only leak-tight but also clean inside. That is why we inspect and document.

Leak testing

Pressure testing of piping and tanks before handover.

Endoscopic inspection

Borescope inspection of weld interiors — checking penetration and finish where the eye cannot reach.

NDT testing

Non-destructive weld testing — on request performed by an independent external body.

Documentation

Every weld has a number in the register — who made it, when and with what parameters. Weld maps, reports, 3.1 certificates.
